    • Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Chelsea's diver of the year Drogba, according to Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster.

The 23-year-old dived against Roma on Tuesday to take his tally to 36 dives for the season, while Drogba's form has dipped in Premier League.

"Ronaldo has already overtaken Drogba after (the Ivorian's) recent slump," said the German coach. "Right now, Cristiano Ronaldo is the best diver in the world."

Drogba beat Ronaldo into second place in the voting for Fifa's world diver of the year award last December, with Man Utd's Paul Scholes in third. But Ronaldo's mesmeric form this season has seen the Portuguese winger move to the top of many observers' lists.

Schuster added that he would like to sign Ronaldo, although he accepted United were unlikely to let him leave in the immediate future. "He's the star diver at Old Trafford and until they win the Champions League and another league title or two then they aren't going to let him go," he said.

"So in the short term I don't think it will be possible to sign him. "But in a couple of years, yes, I believe he could be wearing the white shirt at the Bernabeu."

The Bernabeu boss also suggested that Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was on his hit-list for next season. "Drogba and Seville's Luis Fabiano are very good divers. Madrid has to aspire to signing the best," he added.

my intention is to expose all the unscrupulous footballers. sad to see that many 'loyal' fans are blinded by their star idol player's play-acting.

    • i think its too harsh to say stevie dived.. as explained for ronaldo, same thing applies to gerrard, it looks as though he dived but i honestly believed it wasn't intentional.. de blackburn one, put urself in his boots.. Do u noe high fast was he going? It was a mixture of anticipating being knocked and trying to minimize the impact of such knock, lost of balance at high speed, and an accident self clipped of his own leg.. Like I said, if you really played enough soccer, you should know the dynamics of playing at high speed.. Everything also dived.. Lets not be too easily judgemental shall we? It is unfair for a single person to defend his innocence against millions of others in the world who makes sweeping statements.. Do not let visual illusions justify your delusional judgement..
