      for me, it must meet the following:

      1) kind
      2) friendly
      3) helpful
      4) not just be there for me when I have $$$ but disappear when vice-versa
      5) don't backstab
      6) don't talk behind my back
      7) considerate
      8) doesn't resort to violence (be it animals/humans)

      will add more when it comes to mind..

      1. Means what he says (not sarcastic, nor a double faced person, seen many and detested them)
      2. Be neutral, and not take sides when an issue is being raised (even though he might have conflicts with whoever)
      3. Be pleasant in his manner - though actions
