    • Wow, i thought we are the only country using it. It looks effective though, so less reasons for combat boys to complain when lugging the %@# heavy weapon. Cheers!

    • Matador is based on Dynamit Nobel's design.

The Israeli weapon shown on Futureweapons has different warhead from the SAF's.

    • For training purpose the SAF only use sub-calibre. The MATADOR round cost about 3k. One shot 3K gone in just a second!

This part is clearly rubbish, which happens when you take too much of your information from the media.  the MATADOR fires a dumb, dual purpose warhead which switches from HESH-style effect to HEAT mode by means of manually extending a probe. If the soldier fails to select the proper probe mode, the warhead will be ineffective on the type of target it's intended for.

The munition itself does not discriminate between hard and soft targets.

    • what i hate about the weapon is that when you prone, the dumb thing will hit you in the head! it is also straining to carry it while in FBO cause it has to be carried on one shoulder, bloody instructors dont allow us to strap on full-pack. But now i heard they are using the current fieldpack straps on the Matador. Maybe carrying it like a pack.
